A useful shortlist is not a favorites folder. Keep only rows that have a category, a comparison reason, an unanswered question, and a next action. If a row has none of those, park or remove it before adding another link.

Why saved lists become harder every time you reopen them
The problem is rarely the number of rows alone. It is the work required to rebuild their meaning. A title such as “nice hoodie” forces you to reopen the link, remember the size concern, find the useful photo, and reconstruct why it survived.
A better row carries enough context to resume the decision. It tells you what the item is, why it is still being compared, what remains uncertain, and what you plan to check.
The shortlist should preserve your reasoning, not merely preserve the URL.

Promising, with one blocker
Write the missing size, photo, source, or weight question beside the link.
No useful next action
Move it out when hype, missing context, or repetition is doing all the work.
